What it treats
Tolfyra is indicated for the treatment of athlete's foot, jock itch, and ringworm. It is for external use only and not for ophthalmic use.
- Tolnaftate 1% topical solution
- Twice-daily application, morning and night
- 4 weeks for athlete's foot and ringworm; 2 weeks for jock itch
- 1 oz (30 mL) bottle, Rx only
Patient counseling points
Clean and dry the affected area before applying a thin layer. For athlete's foot, patients should pay special attention to the spaces between the toes, wear well-fitting ventilated shoes, and change shoes and socks at least once daily.
